Hurricane Irene left her mark on New Hill, knocking down some sizeable trees like this one on Friendship Road. View photos. |

The department is now a participating member in the International Academy of Public Safety (IAPS) on-line training program. Members can go to http://lms.iapsonline.com and get web-based training in a variety of fire and rescue topics. Each department member has been assigned a username (first letter of your first name followed by your last name) and password (last 4 digits of your social security number). Once you complete a class you can take a test on-line, print a certificate of completion and turn this in for training credit. If anyone has difficulty logging in to the site please contact Amy Edwards for assistance.
Per request, here is a link to our Membership Requirements and Benefits Handbook.
The Wake County Firefighters Association has an e-mail list for distributing periodic newsletters detailing Association events. Go to their web site and click the "Email List" button to sign up.
To all members that have medical certifications through NC Office of EMS - you can login to the Credentialing Information System (CIS) by going to the NC OEMS website at http://www.ncems.org. The CIS is used to track training, certifications, etc. and is used in the re-certification process. Instructions and detailed information are included on the NC OEMS web site, but if anyone has questions please contact your officer.
