HME SILVERFOX PUMPER

This pumper arrived in Apex Friday night, 15 March 2002. It was the VERY FIRST complete HME Pumper to be built at the plant in Michigan. Based on the 1871-SFO chassis, it has a stainless steel body, 345 horsepower Cummins ISL engine, 1500 GPM single stage Hale pump, and 800 gallon water tank.

From 2002 - 2005, this truck was first-out in our New Hill (Station 2) district. At 26', it is very maneuverable, which is perfect for our rural district which has many small roads and driveways. In 2005 it was relocated to Station 1 to run as the second-out pumper for the downtown district.

On display at the RCA Dome in Indianapolis at the Fire Department Instructor's Conference, April 8-13 2002 (the truck, that is, not the crew!)
