Alan started his career in 1990 as a volunteer. In 1992, he was hired by the department as a firefighter working 8-5. He moved up the ranks quickly serving as Driver and Captain. He now serves as Battalion Chief at Station 3. As Battalion Chief, he is in charge of all paid staff at the three stations.
