Jody started volunteering for Apex Fire Department in 1997. He served as Firefighter and Lieutenant before being hired on full-time with Apex. Jody is a certified Firefighter II, Hazmat Technician and Aerial Operator. Jody was also named 2003 Career Firefighter of the Year. On his off days, he enjoys spending time with his wife Susan, daughter Kaitlynn and son Jordan.
