Lieutenant Stuart started his career in the fire service in 1993 as a volunteer with Fuquay. In 1995 he was hired full-time there as a firefighter. He worked his way up through the ranks and was a Captain / Shift Supervisor in charge of C-shift when he left. Adam began with Apex as a part-time employee in 2002 and began full-time in 2005. His children MaKayla and Nicholas are in the photo with him. His father is a firefighter with the City of Raleigh and that is how he became interested in the job. Adam wanted to follow in his father's footsteps, as he says, "He is my hero!" Adam also notes, "Without the support of my wonderful wife Shannon I wouldn't be where I am today in the fire service."
