Sean Woody, following in his father's footsteps, started serving the Apex Volunteer Fire Department. While in college at Goldsboro, he was a volunteer with Saulston Volunteer Fire Department in Saulston, NC. He began his firefighting career in 2001 with the Apex Fire Department on B-Shift. In 2003, Sean was promoted to Senior Firefighter. He enjoys his career as a professional firefighter and the ability to help citizens of Apex and surrounding communities.

Sean's Safety Tip
Plan two ways out of every room. Fire routes should not include the use of elevators. Select a meeting place outside the house where everyone will gather in case of a fire. Practice your plan at least twice a year.
