Child Safety Seat Checkpoint

The Apex Fire Department partnered with Target, NC Safe Kids, Apex Police Department and Morrisville Fire Department to host a child safety seat checkpoint in the parking lot of Target in the Beaver Creek Commons shopping center on Friday November 2, 2007. Over 50 child safety seats were installed and/or inspected during the 2-hour long event, and a car seat was also donated to a family in need. Special thanks to Apex firefighters Howard Miles, Jason Nesbit, Mark Coats, Scott Pearson, Dave Auchmoody, Mike LeBeau, Bill Bond and Joshua Haraway who helped make this event a success.
