On Thursday 5/24/07, Apex firefighters responded to a report of an illegal burning. Crews found a pile of large logs ablaze, about 100' x 50'. Engine 3, Car 5, Car 6 and Tanker 1 worked the scene. It took nearly 10,000 gallons of water to douse the flames.
