Firefighters responded on Saturday 2/14/09 at 07:34 to a 10-50 on US Highway 1, just south of the New Hill exit. Despite heavy damage to the vehicle and guardrail, there were no injuries reported. The southbound lanes were shut down until NC DOT could respond and remove the guardrail from the roadway.
