At 6:40am on Friday 11/6/09, Apex firefighters responded to a report of a 10-50 on Highway 55 near the US 1 interchange. Ladder 4 responded along with Battalion Chief 1 and Car 1. Crews were faced with an asphalt tanker truck that had turned over on its side, spilling its load onto the road. Firefighters remained on scene until about 9:30am. Click HERE to see the WRAL story.
