On Friday 5/21/10 at 17:35, Apex Fire Department was dispatched to the intersection of Old US1 and New Hill Hollemann Road for a 10-50 PI. Engine 2, Rescue 4 and Battalion Chief 1 responded along with EMS and law enforcement. Rescuers had to use the hydraulic spreaders to open the doors on one vehicle. A total of five patients were transported. Fire units remained on scene to assist with traffice control until the vehicles and debris were removed from the roadway. The call was cleared at 18:36.
