Firefighters were called out to Avalon Peak Apartments on a hot weekend afternoon for a structure fire. Upon arrival they reported smoke showing from a two-story apartment building. With a quick interior attack, they had the fire on the second floor under control. Engine 1, Engine 3, Ladder 1, Battalion Chief 1, Car 1 and SR 1 were on the scene along with mutual aid.
