In the midst of a thunderstorm on Sunday 6/1/08, a residence on Woodbriar Street was struck by lightning. Apex firefighters were dispatched at 1935 and found flames showing upon arrival. Responding units were E2, E3, L1, BC1, C1, C5 and SR1, Apex EMS, Apex PD, Cary EMS and Wake County EMS. Crews remained on scene until 2143.
