Alvin Ward, Director of Training for Wake County, has accepted a position as Assistant Chief of Training for the Chapel Hill Fire Department. Captain Tramp Dunn and several of Alvin's close friends organized a going-away luncheon in his honor at Fuquay Fire Department's Station 1. In true firefighter style, there was a huge spread of southern barbecue and all the trimmings for everyone to enjoy.

	After lunch, Captain Dunn, Dewey Poole, Chief Woodall, Chief Mauldin, and Donel Braxton each said a few words. Captain Dunn presented Alvin with this plaque in recognition of all of his contributions.
But perhaps the gift that will have the most prominent place in Alvin's new office in Chapel Hill will be this fashionable NC State fan!
