Apex Today & Yesteryear Festival
29 September 2001

The annual Today and Yesteryear Festival was held in historic downtown Apex on Saturday 29 September 2001. These street festivals are always a great opportunity for our fire department to interact with the public, pass out fire safety information, and even do a little fundraising.

As Apex's population grows so does the attendance at these festivals.

Salem Street was packed with booths and people from one end of downtown to the other.

Eric Foster and his wife Pat spent most of the day passing out fire prevention materials and collecting donations for the New York Firefighters Relief Fund.

Pat had spent her own time to make ribbons commemorating the fallen FDNY firefighters. They were a real hit with people who were still very eager to contribute to the fundraising effort.
