The annual Today and Yesteryear Festival was held in historic downtown Apex on Saturday 29 September 2001. These street festivals are always a great opportunity for our fire department to interact with the public, pass out fire safety information, and even do a little fundraising.

![]() Eric Foster and his wife Pat spent most of the day passing out fire prevention materials and collecting donations for the New York Firefighters Relief Fund. |
![]() Pat had spent her own time to make ribbons commemorating the fallen FDNY firefighters. They were a real hit with people who were still very eager to contribute to the fundraising effort. |
