Several of the southwestern Wake County fire departments gathered under the direction of instructor John White (Chapel Hill FD) for a rare opportunity to practice fire attack strategies on an actual house at this condemned structure on Dillard Drive.

John White gives firefighters some last minute instructions.	The fire spread much quicker than anticipated. Firefighters tried to slow its progress by ventilating the roof...	But it was too late. It didn't take long for the structure to become fully involved. (Sue-Lynn Hinson, Doug Draper)
But all was not lost... there was ample time for the token waterfight! Here, Doug Draper and I were minding our own business.....	...and wouldn't you know it, instructors Doug Cline, Ricky Dorsey and John White just COULDN'T resist the urge to take a pot-shot.....	Both of us were soaked from head to toe - but we figured we'd needed a bath anyways!
...It didn't take long for Doug and I to scheme our counter-attack...	...and believe me, revenge was sweet!!!!!
