Apex firefighters participated along with numerous other Wake County and surrounding departments, in the fire truck parade to Camp Kanata to kick off the 29th annual Camp Celebrate. According to the UNC web site, "Camp Celebrate is a weekend camping experience fo children and adolescents who have survived burn injuries, most of whom have been treated at the NC Jaycee Burn Center."
