Thunderstorms steamrolled through Apex with lightning strikes causing four structure fires within a few minutes of each other. This house had just been completed and was ready for its new occupants when a direct hit started a fire on the upper floor. Notification of the fire department was delayed since the house was unoccupied, but nevertheless Apex firemen were able to halt the progress of the blaze.
