The Fire Department Instructor's Conference was held in Indianapolis, IN. I attended the Structural Collapse Rescue H.O.T. (Hands-On Training) session on Monday and Tuesday. This intense 16-hour training was held at the abandoned Clearstream Gardens on South Riley Avenue, a public housing complex that is slated to be demolished. It was turned over to the fire service several years ago to be used for a wide variety of training evolutions before demolition.

Our brand new HME SilverFox pumper was proudly displayed in the RCA Dome. Scooter Carter, Howard Miles, Chris Dawson and Billy Gilbert made the 12-hour drive from Apex on Monday. HME was generous enough to provide us with exhibitor's passes and we got a sneak preview of the hundreds of booths as they were being set up.
