The 18th annual Firehouse Expo was held at the Baltimore Convention Center in Maryland. I was running low on vacation time at my real job, but was able to escape for a day to attend the expo on Friday 27 July. I traveled Friday morning, spent a few hours at the convention center, visited Rescue Co. 1 just a couple of blocks away, and finished out the day enjoying the sights at the Inner Harbor. The surprisingly cheap airfare and the light rail which ran directly from the airport to the convention center made a one-day trip convenient, however if I return next year I will be sure to make a weekend of it, there is so much to see and do.
