C-shift was dispatched to a structure fire on Friendship Road at 19:59 on Thursday, 16 October 2003. Car 4, Engine 3, Engine 1, Tanker 1, Tanker 2, Ladder 1, Rescue 1, and a mutual aid tanker from Holly Springs responded and found a 20'x30' out-building that was fully involved upon arrival. Engine 3 pulled a 1 3/4" line with a smooth bore nozzle and did an interior attack from the front of the building. A second 1 3/4" line was pulled to the rear of the structure. Once the fire was under control, crews pulled away the tin roof sheets and extinguished hot spots, clearing the scene at 22:06.
