On Monday 10/11, Apex Firefighters utilizing 2 Engines and 2 Ladders and a mutual aid engine company from the Cary FD responded to this working garage fire. The garage fire posed a threat to a nearby house, as well as access problems for first arriving companies. But, this proved yet again that no job is too tough for Apex's bravest. A 2 1/2" line was stretched and gated down to supply two 1 3/4" handlines. The exposure was protected and knockdown was achieved within minutes. Companies operated for about 90 minutes, while an engine was staffed at Station 1 awaiting any other emergency calls.

Engine 1 and Ladder 3 stretch a 2.5" hoseline that would be gated down to supply two 1.75" attack lines.

Firefighters achieve knockdown on the fire that was producing smoke that could be seen for miles.
