Highway 55

Rush-hour traffic on Highway 55 was snarled for much of the morning of 23 August with this truck vs. car wreck. B-shift and additional personnel responded to the scene with Ladder 3, Car 1, Car 3, Rescue 3, and Rescue 1. Engine 1 staged at a nearby shopping center to set up a landing zone for the medical helicopter. Engine 2 came into town for coverage while crews were committed to the call. Apex EMS and Cary Fire also assisted at the scene.
