On Saturday 1 October 2005, the Apex Fire Department hosted its second-ever open house at Station 3. Most of our apparatus was out on display, and we were joined by Apex EMS, Apex PD, NC CERT, NC State Highway Patrol, and UNC Air Care who brought their own equipment to show off.
Emergency workers did a wide variety of demonstrations for the public, hosted games for the kids, gave station tours, handed out lots of safety information and free stuff, and answered questions about all aspects of our jobs.
