Several members of the Apex Fire Department Dive Team obtained their PADI Advanced Open Water certifications. The class involved a grueling weekend with a variety of dives to practice navigation, night diving, search and recovery, and other skills.

We didn't finish our Saturday night dive until well after 9pm. Since we had to be back for our second day of training early on Sunday, we made use of Fantasy Lake's camping facility perched atop a cliff above the quarry.
