PUBLIC SAFETY DAY Apex Home Depot

The Apex Home Depot sponsored a Public Safety Day on Saturday, 7 June 2003 from 10am - 2pm. Inside the store, they had a table set up displaying a variety of home safety products, informational fliers, and activities for the kids. Outside, Engine 1, Rescue 1, Squad 1 and Boat 1 from the Apex Fire Department were on display along with an ambulance from UNC Healthcare and a State Park Ranger boat. The weather was quite uncooperative, but even in the drizzle we had a steady stream of citizens come out and talk with us. Both kids and parents alike had a great time jumping up into the fire trucks and meeting the emergency service workers.
