On Sunday, 17 November 2002 we held our Open House at Station 3. Apex Town Manager Bruce Radford opened the festivities by welcoming the public to the new facility. Mayor Keith Weatherly and Chief Haraway did the official ribbon-cutting ceremony. Despite a chilly rain, we had a steady stream of visitors throughout the afternoon. All were treated to some great food provided by the Firebelles, tours of the station, fire prevention demonstrations, and much more.

The Firebelles put together a really classy spread with cake, homemade desserts, and other finger foods. The backdrop was a bit rough, but hey, this IS a fire station!
