This has become a bad habit around here. On Sunday, 25 January 2004 we got hit with our second winter storm in as many weeks. Unlike the one we had earlier this month, though, temperatures this time have been hovering at or below freezing, and the sun is nowhere in sight. So needless to say the roads have been hazardous at best.
We had volunteer crews staffing Station 1 all day Sunday, as well as overnight. Volunteers and members of our Explorer post also assisted the paid staff at Station 3. Amazingly, our call volume was low - but we were ready to go if need be!
A big THANK YOU to the guys who came by our fire stations with the plows and kept the front ramps scraped and sanded throughout the storm!
