Rescue Co. 1, one of the largest stations downtown. I had a chance to visit these guys during the Firehouse Expo in July 2001.
The namesake of this station. Rescue 1 alone runs on average over 300 calls per month!

The crew officer's only request was that visitors stay clear of the fire poles if the tones went off. Sure enough, they got several calls while I was there, and those guys come FLYING down the poles!
