After visiting Station 1, I found what looked like the next closest station on my map, Station 8, on Bluxome Street. Found out that the city blocks are MUCH longer than they look on the map! But it was well worth the hike, as I got a close look at another tiller. Thanks to Mike from Medic 8 who showed me around when I arrived.

Station 8 is tucked away in a more peaceful part of downtown

Plaque honoring the memory of fallen firefighters from this house: Thomas Kennedy (1892), Thomas Ahern (1912), Charles Lynch (1946), Joseph Coff (1962), and Dennis Kinsey (1964)

This station has its own red light, heh

I think this medic truck was filling in at Station 8

San Francisco had plenty of both of these (that is, tillers AND homeless folks!)

A more, ah, uninterrupted picture

Not just a wooden ladder - but a FIFTY FOOT wooden ladder! Bet that would take a few Fullers to raise!

The navigator?
